For single-board computer projects the listing does something else unusually well: it publishes the exact config.txt lines needed to drive 1024x600 at 60Hz over HDMI, including the custom mode definition, which saves the trial and error that otherwise consumes an evening. Follow that guidance and heed the note about using a full 2A supply, because an undersized power source produces flickering and blank screens that look like hardware failure. Support extends across Raspbian, Ubuntu, Kali, Kodi and Windows 10 IoT, all driver-free, as well as plain Windows as a secondary PC monitor.
